PAIRS 2023 2022

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the greatest PAIRS yet! PAIRS 2023 Annual Congress – Advancing IR through Global Education, on February 11 to 14, 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

This edition will be once again the largest endovascular and interventional radiology conference in the region featuring a four-day comprehensive program with more than 150 speakers that presents high-level scientific content, live and recorded cases, workshops, ePosters & Oral presentations, interactive education, and innovative discussions, cutting-edge technology and image-guided therapy providing both clinically relevant updates as well as hands-on educational activities. Delegates will be able to choose lectures relevant to their practice among our key sessions including Aortic Summit, Interventional Oncology, Embolization, Peripheral Arterial Disease, Venous Forum, and the Technologist Track. A dedicated PAIRS Neuro program will also be held to discuss Neuro Interventions.

We are excited to announce that this year, we’ll be introducing new sessions to better interact with delegates. First, the PAIRS Drive-Through will feature short and concise, presentations of important topics highlighting the important and relevant information and augmented by case presentation. Next, we will be having a daily Catch of the day session dedicated for Hot Topics to update delegates from A-Z on what’s the latest in their practice, and presented by world-renowned experts in these topics. Lastly, a new session called PAIRS Cinema will be developed to showcase real situations that can happen in the Interventional Radiology practice and will be presented in a movie format.

We are preparing a four-day comprehensive program that presents high-level scientific content with a rich program and we are certain all of you will find this experience stimulating, rewarding and meaningful.

ABSTRACT GUIDELINES

Language:

 

  • All submitted abstracts must be in English

Author(s):

  • The content of the abstract is solely the responsibility of the author. The original abstract is reprinted exactly as provided. During submission, it must clearly indicate the name of the presenting author, who will be considered the contact person for all correspondence connected with the submitted abstract.
  • All submitted abstracts need to have the names and surnames of all co-authors, along with their positions in their affiliated institutions.

Length:

  • Scientific Submissions need to be limited to 2200 words.
  • Education Poster submissions need to be limited to 1500 words.
  • Case Report submissions need to be limited to 1000 words.

Title:

  • An abstract must have a short, specific title (no abbreviations) that clearly indicates the nature of the investigation. It is encouraged that the title is set so as to attract the audience and to hint to the conclusion of the investigation.

Content:

A well-written abstract typically has the following identified sections:

  1. Background/objectives: a brief introduction, which states the problem that you are addressing as well as some background information on the issue. The introduction of the abstract should include a very brief background 1-2 statements followed by the objectives of the investigation.
  2. Design and methods: the methodologies, number of test subjects and scientific approach used to conduct the research.
  3. Results: it is expected that authors present data that support their conclusion. Tables and graphs should include explanatory captions.
  4. Conclusions: further areas of research and overall conclusion of the research
    Citation: a reference list and acknowledgements, if applicable

 

ACCEPTANCE & REJECTION

 

The reviewers will judge the abstracts according to the scientific or clinical value, relevance to the conference, suitability of methods to aims, conclusions confirmed by objective results, objectivity of statements, description of methods used, ethics, originality of work, standard of English and overall impression.

Upon completion of the evaluation of submitted abstracts, an ‘Accepted’ or ‘Rejected’ email will be sent to authors. Upon acceptance of an author’s submission, the following instructions below are applicable:

    • Accepted authors will receive one complimentary registration pass that will be assigned and sent up to 10 days prior to the congress.
    • Authors who confirm presence will receive a free communication code based on their category of submission up to 10 days before the congress.
    • If you need to withdraw your abstract, a written statement listing the reasons for this decision must be sent to the abstract helpdesk at science@medgress.com no later than February 5, 2023.

 

DISCLOSURE

 

A disclosure form identifying commercial relationships for all co-authors must be completed by the submitting author, if their abstract has been accepted for publication. The submitting author signs and verifies disclosure on behalf of all co-authors. Disclosure information for accepted abstracts will be made available to the meeting attendees.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

Accepted authors hereby extend their accepted abstracts’ copyright(s) to the Arab Journal of Interventional Radiology (AJIR) for the purpose of publication in the next AJIR issue subsequent to the annual PAIRS meeting.
