Dr. Rios is a pioneer in cryo-sclerotherapy, which quickly turned spider vein treatment in NYC into pain-free, minimally invasive, outpatient procedures in 2000.
She received her medical degree from the Universidad Libre De Cali, in her native Colombia. Dr. Rios moved to New York where she completed her Internal Medicine residency at Jacobi Medical Center – Albert Einstein School of Medicine. In 2010 Dr. Rios joined the Vein Treatment Center where she received specialized training working with Doctor Luis Navarro who is a pioneer in the field of phlebology and the developer of endovenous laser ablation for the treatment of varicose veins. For the last 11 years, she has dedicated her career to the treatment of superficial vein insufficiency, spider veins, and varicose veins helping patients alleviate their symptoms and feel better while attending the cosmetic aspect of the treatment of vein disease.
Dr. Rios is one of the few diplomates of The American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine (ABVLM) and a Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS). She is also Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Rios is affiliated with Lenox Hill Hospital.
